This simulant inert particle testing universal methodology applies equally to all floating airborne particles in the size .3 to 3.0 microns whether infective or not.
The toxic aerosol exposure assessment laboratories concluded that the Wein Air Supply Mini-Mate AS150MM can substantially reduce the concentration in the breathing zone of toxic aerosols from .3 to 3.0 microns which are the respirable fraction that settles deep in the lungs to cause infection.
Partial results of these authoritative studies were presented to the European Aerosol Conference in Leipzig Germany and were published in the Journal of Aerosol Science Seminar Issue.
The Wein Air Supply Mini-Mate AS150MM generates an intense ionic space charge which substantially repels from the breathing zone of the wearer the charged toxic particles. These include bacteria viruses, dust, smoke, pollens, dander, mold spores, or anything else that is light enough to float in the air.
According to the expert who peer reviewed the University study, the reduction in physical concentration of the charged toxic particles (from .3 to 3.0 microns) occurs regardless of whether the particle is infective or not. This is because the repelling effect is caused by electrostatic forces from the Air Supply Mini-Mate AS150MM.
A particle may carry the most lethal pathogen known to man, but it will still be subject to this electrostatic field. This is very similar to the electrostatic charge influence effect on particles produced by the N95 series respirator masks.
The particle repellent action of the Wein Air Supply Mini-Mate AS150MM drives away from the wearer (.3 to 3.0 microns) sized particles or any other aerosol of the same size range away from the wearer. Currently, Wein Products is conducting further extensive research at a major US University Research Center using the latest submicron instrumentation to investigate the Wein Ionic airborne aerosol particle protective effect all the way down to .04 microns which is in the size range of influenza virus. So far, the results look promising but are still preliminary.

A. When your Air Supply
Mini-Mate is on, there is a little red light that you can see from the
front and top, and you should feel a slight movement of the air around
your face. Repairs are handled by Wein Products as well.
